PROBABILITY

Have you ever stopped to think how beautiful life is in its endless variety and mathematical probability.

When standing in the shallow waters at the Beauduc beach in Camargue, I was mesmerized by the calm of the water, the slight wind that drove the liquid energy through my feet. The water drew these minimal ever so elegant illustration like patterns over the grainy sand. In that moment it became apparent to me that the probability of a patten created by the natural ecosystem to repeat exactly would be close to none. The number must be so great that it would require unprecedented calculative power to model such a probability equation.

More importantly than the mathematics was the realization that we are so spoiled as species and boredom should not be part of our state of being. As this beautiful phenomenon generating these “drawings” is endless in variety and simply pure forms of natural art.
